Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hai Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most well-known Indian actors. She started her career in 1980s. The role she played in the role of Anil Kapoor in Tezaab has made her extremely famous. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. Her birthplace was in a Mumbai middle class family and began dancing at a young age. While still a teenager she attempted acting, however most of those early films were unsuccessful. She eventually became one of the biggest actresses of Indian films. After her marriage, she took a pause in her professional career. The actress returned in later years. More recently she played in a crucial role in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women living in India. Dixit has received 15 Filmfare Awards nominations, of which eight she won. Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honor in India - was given to Dixit. She has also been recognized for her work in the field of social work.
